During February and March we are offering 10% off week-end stays, and a reduction of 20% for weekday ones from Tuesday to Thursday.
The accommodation at Yealand Old School is versatile, and while it is possible to only book the whole building there will be a space to suit all members of your group. We can accommodate up to 20 guests. There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which is a twin and two rooms which can sleep 2- 4 persons. All have private ensuite shower rooms, one of which is accessible with level access from outside.
Upstairs there is a mixture of low beds and sleeping mats to sleep up to 10 which are popular with groups and families wishing to expand their sleeping arrangements into the large, versatile first floor rooms. For these beds we request that guests bring sleeping bags. There are an additional 2 separate toilets and showers.
A fully equipped self-catering kitchen offers seating for up to 20 and there are comfortable lounge areas with books and games on both the ground floor and first floors.
We ask guests to keep noise to a minimum after 10.30pm, in particular outside the building due to our village location.
Bedroom 1 has between 2 and 4 beds and has level access from outside as well as an accessible shower room
Bedroom 2 has 3 or 4 beds including a set of bunkbeds which makes it ideal as a family room. There is an adjacent shower room which can be en suite.
Bedroom 3 is a twin, with 2 single beds and an en suite shower room.
Kitchen – The self catering kitchen is large and well-equipped with seating for 20.
Lounges – There are 2 relaxing lounge areas with books, games and magazines.
Flexible group spaces – Upstairs are the Penketh room - a large space with dance floor suitable for events - and a landing room with 10 stacking beds which groups can spread around the 3 upstairs rooms.
Friends Meeting House – Yealand Friends Meeting House is just down the path from the Old School. Guests are welcome to look around and spend quiet time inside and in the grounds where a number of benches offer views across to Ingleborough. The Meeting House is available to hire (contact the warden for more details).
